I am assuming Miia posted this. Those are lovely photographs. Wow.
On a purely linguistic point, how is "Suokonmaki" pronounced? I have to admit that in Japanese -- the only non-English language I know, apart from a smattering of French a medical doctor's smattering of Latin and Greek (not that much, in other words) and a first-year university level of German -- it sounds unusual. Like an odd bit of sushi.

The Anaphora
One thing that confuses me slightly. Is sian a term of respect?
