Could be Fun

Just the beginning, sitting in my parents Nova Scotia TV room flipping between TLC's 'What Not to Wear' and the NBA Eastern Conference Finals. Cats are totally freaked after a long car ride (during which LG had a panic pee) to Scarborough, 2 days in one foreign house with 2 other cats prowling angrily in the basement, another long drive to the airport (during which LG got car sick), a 2 hour flight, another car ride, and now 2 days in another foreign house with loud traffic going by outdoors. Freaked isn't the word actually - they seem sad, homesick maybe.

Love driving home from the airport and seeing just a few lanes of traffic but mostly trees and hills. Then reading local indyrag news about environmental problems and wondering if people here know how good they have it. But of course problems are all over the earth. Excited for things to come yet sad for things, mostly people, left behind. And still some things to do like dentists doctors pharmacists paperwork emails errands especially people to see before we go go go to Copenhagen.

Mom's excited to have us; Dad to have our cats. The contrast between here and Miia's mom's couldn't be more stark. There a frenzied cyclone and holy smokes and ohmalords, here coocooclock ticktock the only latenight sound.
